The past two days have been
pretty rough. My parents
tried to destroy the world, the houseplant threatened to kill me, and now I find out I'm a human microwave oven.

I had no idea sixth grade would be so stressful.

Another International Edition

Ladies and Gentlemen, it's time for another update on Joshua Dread's world tour. In our last installment, we took a whirlwind tour of several exotic international locations and revealed the covers for Australia, Germany and France. Today we're taking a visit to scenic Spain, where Joshua Dread has received a totally new look--and a new identity.

Pretty cool, right?

As you can see, Joshua Dread has been renamed "Lucas D." Apparently, the name "Joshua" isn't so common in Spain. And obviously, "Dread" doesn't have the same connotation in Spanish, which explains why they decided to shorten it to "D." The full title translates to "The Amazing (normal?) Life of Lucas D."

I really love this art. It's definitely more playful and abstract than the US version. But the clawed creatures emerging from beneath the cover add a hint of danger. I wish I'd paid better attention in my high school Spanish class so I could read this version when it comes out.
